Transfer Athens - Tolo - Athens

Car rental:
We recommend to take a rental car at the airport of Athens.
If you book early enough, the cost of a car for 14 days is hardly more than taking a cab twice to Athens.
And you are mobile to enjoy your time in and around Tolo.

Bus:
You take bus no. 93 from the airport Athens to KIFFISO, that is the bus station of Peloponnes. Bus no. 93 always leaves 15 min. before and 10 min. after every full hour from the airport to the bus station KIFFISOS.
Then you take the urban bus to NAFPLIO. Leaves every hour at half-hours. You can buy your ticket at the counter. The leaving gates to Nafplio are 36 and 37. The distance from Nafplio to Tolo are 12 km. You can take the bus or a Taxi to Tolo.

Train:
Now there is a direct train connection from the airport Athens to Korinth and further on to Nafplio. Travel time 1,5 hours, price per person € 9.50
The route and the trains are new and very comfortable.

Note: Please check at the ticket counter where and when to change trains! That changes quite often.

Taxi:
The easiest way from the airport to Tolo is by Taxi. Travel time approx. 1,5 hours.
Price one way and cab (up to 3 people incl. luggage or 4 people with hand luggage) presently (May 2010) approx. € 130.-
We recommend to reserve a Taxi ahead of time (Greek phone no.: +30-699-3118006 or tell us via email: info@potami.org, since cabs waiting at the airports are often more expensive.

Taking the ferry boat:

You can board in Venice, Ancona and Brindisi to Patras with these lines:
Minoan Lines, Anek Lines, Blue Star Ferries (Strintzis), Superfast, Blue Star.
You can book directly or through a travel agency.

Benefits:

• Your car is with you and you’re mobile.
• Your holiday starts at the ferry boat and you can acclimate right then and there.
• With a car you are free to discover different bays, landscapes, places of interest, etc.
• Please book your transfer early since the ferry boats are quite busy.

Entire travel time:

• Car ride from Salzburg to Venice, approx. 4 hours.
• Harbor check in approx. 2 hours prior to departure
• Harbor staff control /  boarding
• Boat ride approx. 32 hours
• Departure Patras and car ride to Tolo (approx. 2 hours)

The boats are comfortable and luxurious. You will get your key at the reception and the stewart will guide you to your cabin. The cabins are small but clean and comfortable.

On board you will find bars, a casino, disco, children’s play area, restaurants and a self-serve restaurant as well as a swimming pool with pool bar and a shopping arcade. The pool bar on deck is cozy and social. Get a tan, meet people and enjoy the nightlife. If you don’t want a cabin, you have the possibility on a specific deck section to travel with a sleeping bag.
